Organic, No Till farm in the valley of Naples, NY

As we head into 2024, I embark on my 10th year of farming. I started back in 2015 as an apprentice at Squash Blossom Farm— I caught the farming bug immediately.

While working there I developed a solid foundation of knowledge and skills, though I am still learning more every day. My mentor Jeremiah transformed my perception of farming from the traditional practice of tillage farming to the magic of no-till.

No-till farming focuses on improving soil health through minimal disturbance, generous compost application, mulching and cover cropping. Through remineralization we are able to offer a wide variety of healthy, nutrient dense, and flavorful produce.

Healthier soil= healthier plants = healthier you!!

Witnessing no-till’s many benefits inspired me to use the method on my own farm, which I began back in 2020. Starting Art of the Sun has taught me so much and I am so grateful for all the lessons and unwavering support from our community. I believe that life is art, and farming embodies life.

A half share is 4 items weekly and a full share is 7 items weekly
